Summary

Our young hero Blue Blaze looks over the city tracking the moves of a gun-running criminal syndicate lead by powerhouse villain Death Arm. While the battle nearly kills him, the emergence of a new superpower changes the game for Blue Blaze more than he could ever imagine- He wants to know more about this new ability, but so do the bad guys, who seemingly raise the stakes in a gruesome and horrible way.

This book is action-packed for as much that happens, it is a very fun, easy-to-follow read. The beat of the story is a blast, like a collection of cut scenes from a video game you loved, that was just not in the arcade anymore on some random day. The visuals are done in a style that compliments the story and highlights the action- deep vivid colors and good payoff shots to the action make this a book that flowed optimally, from start to finish- the action in places even feels, and I mean this as a compliment, like the glorious button-mashing combos of days gone by, as the stakes go from staying alive, to discovering a new power, to avenge a tragic loss. This book just goes. Issue one was plain satisfying. Bring your quarters, a new player has entered the game.
