A writer, a musician, a designer, a podcaster, a father, a husband; I basically just never know how to sit still. I spend much of my time outside of work chasing down dreams with Catalyst Comics Studio, our podcast, and content creation. When you were created to be creative, it is a hard switch to turn off.

Lina Saint

Lina Saint

Show Host

Hello everyone, my name is Lina Saint and I am the CEO of Dope Girlz Comics and creator of the Afro Demon comic book that’s coming out in March 2021. I’m an immigrant from Haiti but lived in New Jersey the majority of my whole life. Came to America speaking no English but managed to watch Superman, Batman, and X- Men early in the morning on WB11. Over the years as I’m getting older I realize there weren’t a lot of characters that represented me when it comes to cartoons or anime. Mostly white leading superhero roles and I only had Storm to look up to. Storm is a beautiful black character but she’s still just not enough for me. Instead of alternating, I decided to create my own Super Universe. My universe is filled with beautiful black leading superheroes roles. Badass women with badass attitudes and strong black men!! Can’t wait for you all to see what I have to bring to the indie comic community.

I have always been fascinated by the way people tell stories. Whether it's in comics, movies, or songs, it amazes me the way that people can make it all work. I’m happy to say I finally wrote a story of my own and it feels great to join a community of people who are doing the same thing. I'm excited about my opportunity to read other independent creator's work.
