Reviewer’s Notes:
The cover of this book is something that is a little miss leading.  While the book is itself a comic, the cover looks like a magazine for a possible gentleman’s magazine.  If you read the subtitles on the front they all relate to something in the comic, and I think it’s a wonderful plot twist device to garner interest. But with the magazine look, there is also an age reference for the comic which I thought was a nice touch.

The Interior artwork is well done and looks polished, and while there are some things that are left to the imagination, there are some things that are not, which goes along with the 17+ rating that is listed on the front of the book itself.

The story starts off a little slow, as it starts off going directly into a mercenary gala red carpet event.  While they cover a little bit of backstory as the story continues forward, both the cover and the interior are done in such a fashion to hold the interest of the reader and add to the story itself, making you want more.

Overall the book itself is a good book and looks a little bit at the side of the world that doesn’t have good or bad, just mercenaries and what they stand for.  Which is always a fun take when it comes to people with powers, skills or otherwise.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I grew up as an eclectic geek, a fact that still holds true today. If I am not adulting then I can readily be found doing something geek-related. When I am not doing something geek-related I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends!
