About the Book:
Intertwined: The Torchbearer rounds out the trilogy of stories within the bindings of the book Intertwined very nicely. It sheds light on one man trying to make a difference in his community, using the resources he has to better others and defending the weak in the process.
Reviewer’s Notes:
Each hero has a backstory wrapped in some kind of trauma or tragic event. Whether it be big or small it’s there. I love how Torchbearer, while following that line of storytelling to a certain degree, shows that some people are willing to do whatever it takes to defend those weaker than themselves.
This particular character, while giving background of his community and deciding that he can be the difference, gets into a situation that ultimately changes his life forever. But because of his faith and his desire to help others, he becomes the ultimate beacon for his community.
I think that this story has the potential to become a wonderful series showing the sacrifice for others and the challenges of becoming a beacon of his faith.
The cover artwork is a wonderful piece of art that shows a little bit of what the main character ultimately becomes and while it is just merely a head shot of half of the characters face I think it is perfectly fitting for the story at hand.
The interior artwork is very well done and shows a level of refinement that fits the story. Allowing the reader to get lost into the visual aspect to go alongside the compelling story.
I look forward to more and think that once this story finds it’s footing within the confines of it’s own book, it will become a story that will make people wanting more.
