REVIEW: Fight Girls #4

Book Title: Fight Girls #4

Book Description: Over the last three challenges the field of ten competitors has been whittled down to two:

#4 Tora Winter
#7 Xandra Blackwater

These ladies are facing one another in the fourth and final challenge: Trial by Combat. This is a fight that lasts until death or submission, whichever comes first. The winner will become queen. The loser made a great run that will be notated in a history book somewhere down the road.

We also get to see exactly why the government appears to be so concerned with Xandra Blackwater’s background.

Summary

Whether it was in the challenge or in the streets, this issue had a lot of action in it! With all of that action it was a very fast paced read that completely pulls the reader into the story.

I enjoyed the work Mr. Cho did for the cover and interior pages. After the creatures we got to see in the first three issues, watching Xandra and Tora duking it out seems to be anticlimactic.

My gut tells me that even though the fight is over we’ll get more fireworks in the final installment. Will the combat challenge winner actually become queen? I look forward to finding out!

As a geek on a budget I would say that this issue was worth the price of admission. It has plenty of action and does a great job propelling us towards the final issue.

I grew up loving all things geek. I started reading and collecting comics when I was 8. My personal collection has roughly 8,000 books in it. When I’m not doing something geek-related I love spending time with my amazing wife and kids, gaming, and working on cross stitch projects.
