Book Title: Black Spartans Ch. 1
Book Description: This wonderful story starts off giving a little bit of background on the setting of the book, the people of the aforementioned mystical land, and those that defend against the monsters, the Hunter guilds. In this chapter, the story centers on one particular Hunter who saves the life of a farmer and his wife who are just trying to survive. After helping the farmer, the hunter and his faithful steed are given a place to stay and food to eat, with the promise from the hunter to help those in need! When the creature that the hunter stopped suddenly reappears with the rest of the pack, the Hunter show’s his true power and stops the monsters in their tracks. Once done, the hunter reveals his intentions to start his own hunter guild and sets out to aid more people in need.

Summary
I found this story intriguing, it covers a few genres in 1 story in terms of the great savior coming to the rescue. It has Magic, Druidism and the Hero has a giant cat for a mount!
Having played various games both on a system and table top, it reminds me of a classic RPG. The cat mount was particularly nice, as I grew up watching He-Man and the Masters of the Universe in the 80’s! Who didn’t want Battlecat as their pet / mount!?!
With all that said, I think this story has a lot of potential to go quite far! I look forward to more chapters!
The cover artwork and Interior artwork crosses several styles as well, highlighting mostly Manga. I found it intriguing as well and think that it does quite well to accent the story and elevate the book to almost immersion level for the reader! It is definitely something that blends well with the words on the page.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I grew up as an eclectic geek, a fact that still holds true today. If I am not adulting then I can readily be found doing something geek-related. When I am not doing something geek-related I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends!
