Reviewer Notes
Juan Espinosa crafts a likable tale of a new System Administrator who tackles the multitude of issues that are thrown his way. JJ is a fun character with a lot of depth that develops as the series progresses. Espinosa writes from the heart, and as a first-time comic creator, he does a solid job. For this review, I read issues 1-3 to get a sense of the books, and as each issue progressed dialogue, mechanics, and editing improved! There is a bit of a disconnect if you’re not in the system admin world. Some elements of the story I found hard to connect to because I know little of defending a network. Yet, Espinosa still won me over with his characters, storytelling, and passion for his chosen profession.
