, PRESS RELEASE: The World’s First Full-Length Glow-In-The-Dark Comic, The Indie Comix Dispatch

It’s the World’s First Full Length GLOW IN THE DARK Comic! How often can you say that?

The Kickstarter campaign is closing but pre-orders will be open for some time. Yes this is a novel concept, but more importantly it’s created by someone who has been making comics for over 10 years and is serious about the craft.

  • BREAK: RUN is post-apocalyptic cyberpunk in the spirit of Akira, Mad Max:Fury Road and Seven Samurai.
  • Content and structure similar to an episode of the space/samurai western The Mandalorian
  • Spiritual themes; for fans of Alejandro Jodorowsky, Moebius, Image Comics, and Manga.
  • Written, drawn, coloured and lettered by Nima Afshar. Special poster by Ryan Barry AKA @9monkeys (41.6k Instagram followers)

On the deep space colony of Argos, Branko witnessed a horrific massacre. It’s about to happen again, and he’s the only one who can stop it. But his enemies have put a bounty on his head and time is running out.

WHY GLOW-IN-THE-DARK? Not only has a full-length comic using night luminous inks never been done before, here it’s also being used to add an extra layer of storytelling. When the effect is activated, hidden things are revealed (as you can see in the GIF file above), representing the ‘unseen world’.
