AWAKEN IS A SCI-FI ADVENTURE STORY WITH A PHILOSOPHICAL CORE

Live on Kickstarter now until 07/16/21

Awaken takes place on a shard of Earth known as Fruatia. This drifting island is all that remains of our planet, harboring the last of our species on an uncertain ride through the cosmos. In this dystopian future, we follow the life of a young student named Zesh as he comes to find his power in this oppressive world.

The story is written by two first-time Australian writers, William Fiske and Oliver Brown.  Their story is incredibly personal to them, being based on some of their own life experiences and including characters inspired by real-life people. Will and O also share a passion for comics and anime, having bonded over Afro Samurai through their high school years.

With the declining health of our world, Awaken is a story that needs to be told now more than ever. It is a tale about the repercussions of destroying our home and the journey of healing that follows. At its core Awaken has themes of spirituality and philosophy, seeking to answer some of life’s biggest questions, whilst also keeping it lighthearted and action-packed.

Awaken issue #1 is currently funding on Kickstarter, with additional plans to create an epic saga. Backers can choose from a  selection of fun rewards and merchandise, ranging from stickers and hoodies to a fully playable trading card game.

Awaken issue #1 is live on Kickstarter until the 16th of July, so check it out while you still can!
