5 Ways to Get Noticed by an Editor

You want to give your creative project the best possible chance of being accepted for publication, right? I’m the editor of the Oneshi Press Comics Anthology series—an independently published collection of short comics—and I’ve learned what makes me want to work with a creator…or not. So, here are 5 ways to get your work (especially comics) noticed by an editor:

1. Know who you’re pitching to.
2. Follow. The. Directions.
3. Got questions? Get answers!
4. Pitch your project AND yourself.
5. Be “professional.” (To me, that means make yourself easy to get in touch with, and a few other things.)
