About the Book:
What happens when a place that is ment to heal the body and spirit from addiction, ends up being the place where creatures of the undead come for food… That is the basis of this story, a group of people trying to break the cycle of addiction, must now fight for their lives…
Reviewer’s Notes:
The cover art is very well done, simple yet to the point without really giving anything away, I do think that it has a select audience that it is aiming towards as the story itself lends itself to be a new take on a vampire story!
The interior art is also very well done, it has a dark undertone mostly due to the fact that the main characters are in a drug rehab facility. But the appearances of the characters, as well as their mannerisms, expressions and attitudes are very well done, and help move the story along at a good pace.
I am not one to actively seek out vampire stories, I have read a few and I do find them entertaining, but sometimes, it feels like the same old story told over again. This story is a little different from the norm. It starts out in a rehab facility as one particular person just goes through the motions, arguing about missing a therapy session. When the staff suddenly give commands for an early bedtime with lights out.
The next morning all the residents discover that the staff is nowhere to be found, some panic and others stay put. Those that panic break a window that will ultimately be the entrance to the facility for the undead creature, after the loss of a few of those that stayed behind to said creature, those that are still alive decide to leave and head to the closest town, with the creature hot on their heels.
This story has a lot of potential, esp if you like vampiresque stories. It has a wonderful strong character and shows promise for great development, I am just not sure I am going to add it to my personal library. But if the vampire stories are something that you enjoy, then this is definitely a series that you need to pick up and read!

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I grew up as an eclectic geek, a fact that still holds true today. If I am not adulting then I can readily be found doing something geek-related. When I am not doing something geek-related I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends!
