Reviewers Notes:
The cover art is done well. It is unique enough to get your attention and sparks interest in the book, and alludes to the actual story of the book itself.

The interior art, while well done does not seem to be as polished as the cover, while the artwork is good, it has a rough style and reminds me of the styles that were more during the 70’s and 80’s.

The story itself actually deals with a bit more adult material than the cover shows.  The parents in the story do not seem to be happy with each other, and it comes across plainly obvious in the writing and the artwork.  Children can be very perceptive of that and act accordingly.

As such is the case in this story.  While this is the first book in the series, I have my own childhood that this story hits too close to home for, and I would rather not relive that.  But some experiences must be brought into light to make a point, so to that I say do not let my personal experiences blind you to what could be a great horror story!

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I grew up as an eclectic geek, a fact that still holds true today. If I am not adulting then I can readily be found doing something geek-related. When I am not doing something geek-related I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends!
