Book Title: I hate this place #4
Book Description: When they got to the ranch Gabby and Trudy watched a video warning them that if they saw the horned man they needed to run. They have seen him and are doing just that. The horned man isn’t the only monster on the property right now. “Adrien” is searching the woods to find the money that he stole from an armored truck. He won’t let anything or anyone stop him from getting it… and there are other creatures to contend with.

Reviewer’s Notes:
“I Hate This Place” continues to hit all of the right notes. The intensity pulls the reader into the story and doesn’t let go. The intrigue it creates is magnificent. With all of the obstacles they are facing one has to wonder how Gabby and Trudy will possibly survive this ordeal.
I like how we get a teaser of things to come. I suspect that the orb that was picked up is going to be a game changer. Will it be beneficial or detrimental? Hopefully we’ll find out together in the next installment.
I appreciate how throughout this series Topilin’s artwork on the covers remains relevant to the story. Likewise, the work in the interior pages holds its own. I particularly enjoyed the extremely large spider.
I have been thoroughly enjoying “I Hate This Place”. We get relatable characters, lots of action, and some great plot twists thrown in the mix. As a geek on a budget I believe this one is money well spent. I do recommend being up to speed on the story.
At this point if you were late to the party you will probably be better off waiting for the TPB to come out. You may have to wait a bit longer; but you get the upside of being able to binge the entire story in one go.
