About the Book:

Cinderella Monroe (aka Cindy) is pretty, funny, occasionally quirky, and psychotic. She’s the self proclaimed serial killer princess. We’ve seen her take on zombies. We’ve seen her fight Krampus. Now we’re seeing her in the most unusual bout yet. In this issue Cinderella goes toe to toe with the Tooth Fairy!

Reader’s Notes:

I first came across Cinderella from the Grimm Universe about five years ago. She was fun. She was edgy. From time to time she said things that made me do a double take. Needless to say, I liked her instantly.

Mr. Franchini does not disappoint with this rendition of Ms. Monroe. She demonstrates all of the qualities that make her one of my favorites. Additionally, we get to see just how loyal she is to her friends.

I liked how Cinderella is portrayed on this cover. You can see she’s a force to be reckoned with… Even if she’s not completely sure who the target of her wrath is going to be.

I love how the artwork on the interior pages is done. We get terrific levels of detail that are coupled with coloring that makes the work jump off of the page. The way the pixies dispatched the gnome was a sight to behold.

At the end of the day “Grimm Spotlight” #11 has great artwork and plenty of action. It moves along at a steady pace. There were some pages that were somewhat confusing with regards to the reading order for panels. It doesn’t affect the overall story though. Best of all, this book is good for some laughs. That makes this geek on a budget say that this one is well worth the price of admission.

I grew up loving all things geek. I started reading and collecting comics when I was 8. My personal collection has roughly 8,000 books in it. When I’m not doing something geek-related I love spending time with my amazing wife and kids, gaming, and working on cross stitch projects.
