The cover itself resembles a baseball dugout and shows the main “hero” of the story. I myself do not know as much about baseball as others I know, but I get the references and this cover is filled with them. If you’re a baseball fan at all then this cover does a wonderful job at getting your attention, and makes you want to look at this book.
The interior artwork is created in the same manner as the cover art. It is not overbearing and does a wonderful job showing the characters, their transitions and or abilities, and is consistent throughout the story. Making sure that the reader visually see’s what is needed and required to drive the story!
The story itself seems to be that of a salesman who used to work for a baseball signing agency, and decided to quit and open up an agency that dealt with those with abilities, and instead of signing sports contracts he signs hero contracts as it were. I found the story interesting enough, and to make it relevant the creator of the story kept it attached to the world of MARVEL comics with a few name drops, which I honestly do not think it needed, but does indicate that the CEO will say whatever to make the deal. I rated the story R for the use of language and graphics, and while each is minimal, in a comic setting, the actions of some of the characters as well as what is said would be censored in major publications.
Overall it is a good story for reading once, especially if you are a fan of the creator or the work itself. I do not know if this is a continuing series or a one off. But I could see this story continuing if they ending were different.
But if you are interested in this story at all by all means pick it up and give it a look!
