Reviewer’s Notes:
This starts off with a little bit of background and talks of a vast multiverse. It reminds me a little of a few cartoons from the 80’s where it starts off in space and then zooms into one particular spot and begins the story of the main character.
I think that this story has potential to lead into many things, and like all new stories they have to start somewhere. Unfortunately it is starting off a little slow, but it picks up quick when it centers on the new apparent heir to the prize that is the highlight of the story.
The main character is written well and I myself liked the character, but I can see how some might not be able to get into the character, as this particular story does not do a lot that makes you want to pull for the character. Hopefully the next chapter has a bit more draw in the story for the characters.
The cover art is well done, it highlights a couple of characters not seen in this book, and does not really show what the story is about, but it is something that upon appearance gets your attention to make you at least look at the book.
The interior is just as well done as the cover, the entire story happens at night, and the artwork reflects that. Which also makes it a little hard to read if you are not reading this story in a well lit area. The interior artwork also does a good job following the story with the detail and highlighting what is going on visually to match what is written in the story.
Overall the story is interesting enough to get a glance, but since this is the inaugural issue, there is a certain amount of setup that needs to happen and that may be a put off for some.

Growing up in the 80s and 90s I grew up as an eclectic geek, a fact that still holds true today. If I am not adulting then I can readily be found doing something geek-related. When I am not doing something geek-related I enjoy spending time with my wonderful family and friends!
