Summary

To see my review of Cypher Team i01, click here!

The action of Cypher Team i02 picks up exactly where i01 stops! The team continues to clear civilians and battle the Reapers when The Angels arrive, and they’re not the guardian kind.

The pacing, if intense in i01, really picks up the pace in this issue. The battle scene is like being dropped straight into a big budget war movie. The dialogue is quick and on point and there is far less narration. Issue 2 really starts putting into play those detailed character profiles that i01 spent time outlining, especially as the team battles The Angels.

The one think that caught me off guard with issue 2 was that it ended while I still wanted more story! Jackson has a way of drawing you into his universe and giving you just enough to keep you wanting more! Issue 2 really propels this series toward greatness and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
